Quilted Love Letters
A romantic story about learning and a special gift for a special someone.
This lovely, romantic, Christmas, Valentines Day story took place right her in our little shop and we were so happy to be a small part.
Richard Wilson came into our store a few months back hoping to be able to find a buy a certain quilt that he was looking for as a gift for his wife. He told of us his quest and the difficulty he’d had finding anything suitable. Finally we suggested he consider making it himself. Initially uncertain of the idea, not being a sewer, let alone a quilter, he soon warmed to the idea and over the following months attended classes at the store regularly while working on his secret project.
Once he succeeded in completing the quilt, which he named Quilted Love Letters, arrangements were then made to surprise his wife with the gift, at the shop, with their family in attendance.
So on December 24th, they all arrived under a pretext, and Richard presented Sandra with his Quilted Letters of Love. At first Sandra was skeptical that Richard had created the quilt himself but witnesses and many photos of the progression Richard went through making it soon convinced her.
She loved it.
Richards new project is . . . . well, you’ll find out later. Stay tuned. http://saratogian.com/articles/2011/02/13/news/doc4d58aafa01745703693972.txt Ballston Spa Life:
